We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member to join our penguin family. We are looking for a senior nursery practitioner to lead practice within the setting, they must be extremely motivated and dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to our children. Responsibilities:
- Role model and guide good practice throughout the nursery
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive in
- Monitor and supervise children during indoor and outdoor playtime
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the nursery area
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures
There will be the opportunity to lead a room.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Level 3 in childcare
- Previous experience working with young children within a senior role in a nursery or childcare setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices is essential
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Job is dependant on an enhanced DBS check, suitable references and successful trial period
A sound knowledge of the new EYFS will be needed alongside knowledge of the non-statutory curriculum guidance.
