Are you a passionate early years practitioner with a background in Early Years education? You will work as part of a thriving team who deliver outstanding care and education to the children in our local community. You will also oversee the day-to-day operations of the room that you are in charge of. About you



Minimum Level 3 Childcare Qualification

Experience of working within an early year setting at practitioner level or above with a strong understanding of the senior role expectations

2 + year in Early Years

Knowledge ofEYFS, SEND and safeguarding

Understanding of the Ofsted requirements

Key Responsibilities



To lead on the curriculum delivery within an allocated room, and to ensure that practice and provision in the room meets the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Maintaining a safe, organised, accessible, and enabling environment.

Ensuring that procedures for planning, observation and assessment are followed by everyone working in the allocated room.

Providing a strong role model for colleagues, and children, demonstrating outstanding teaching practice to all.

Ongoing monitoring, reflection, and evaluation of the quality of education, using the benchmarks of Ofsted's Early Years Inspection Handbook.

Contributing to the ongoing development of the Nursery planning and ensure this is up to date

Support staff with completing observations, tracking and other review paperwork with the support of the deputy manager

To work in positive, professional partnerships with parents or carers; and support and motivate others in the team to do the same.

Manage and allocate keyworker responsibilities.

Build open and positive relationships with parents and carers

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working our nurseries. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,000.00-28,000.00 per year
