We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Nursery Practitioners to join our vibrant early childhood education team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and educational activities for children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The role involves managing daily routines, supporting junior staff, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Duties
Lead and supervise daily nursery activities, ensuring they meet developmental and educational standards
Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate learning programmes
Oversee the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies
Mentor and support junior practitioners, fostering a collaborative team environment
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and behaviour
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's development and daily activities
Assist with organising nursery resources, ensuring they are well-maintained and suitable for activities
Drive nursery vehicles when required for outings or errands, complying with relevant driving regulations
Qualifications
Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood setting
Extensive experience working with children, ideally within a childcare or nursery environment
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Childcare qualifications recognised by relevant authorities (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent)
Valid driving licence with clean driving record preferred
Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining a nurturing approach to child care
Commitment to safeguarding children and promoting inclusive practice
