Could you be our next Senior Occupational Therapist (OT)? We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and genuinely supportive team, where you can lead and support the OT process from assessment to completion, gaining job satisfaction from seeing the difference your intervention brings to children, young people and their families in Southampton.

We are a small but growing OT team within a larger NHS/Social care joint commissioned MDT for children with disabilities. There are established good links with our partner agencies within the unitary authority and NHS colleagues. You would supervise and support three OT\'s, and may also hold a varied, complex caseload of children and families, recommending minor and major adaptations, specialist equipment, completing moving & handling assessments and plans, and supporting re-housing.

Purpose: * To deliver an Occupational Therapy Service within an aligned Health and Social care team in line with Social Care statutory responsibility and, under the direction of the Team Manager, to assist with the provision of key service strands within Children and Families Service.

  • Work with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure a high quality, responsive, professional Social Care service leading to positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • To support the team manager in managing statutory and non-statutory services. Provide day-to-day supervision and management oversight of staff. Deputise in the Team Manager\xe2\x80\x99s absence.

The post is full time Mon-Fri, however part time would be considered.
