Join our supportive team in a exciting new role, where you will be able to make a difference and enhance people's independence and wellbeing using your Occupational Therapy skills. If you have experience and knowledge working in occupational therapy in adult social care, are a skilled communicator and confident in your decision making, then we want to hear from you.
What's the role?
As part of the Duty OT team, you will help Lewisham citizens have timely access to information, OT advice and assessment to promote independence and wellbeing. You will be responsible for supervising our OT Triage Offer and Part- time OT, supporting the team to prioritise work effectively and providing training/advice to our Gateway Team. As well as undertaking the screening of OT referrals, providing advice and information, ordering minor equipment and minor adaptations as required.
This important role will help the OT team ensure referrals to the team are Care Act eligible and is a vital part of our prevention focus in Adult Social Care OT.

What we're looking for
A Senior OT who uses a strength-based approach to promote citizens independence and well being. You will be experienced in the screening of OT referrals in adult social care, knowledge and experience of equipment provision, minor and major adaptations, the ability to signpost to other services where appropriate and provide citizens with OT focused information and advice where required. As well as having the experience of supervising staff and providing training to the wider team .
This role is part time with 17.5 hours across 5 days, Monday to Friday (working pattern is negotiable for successful candidate)
Location Hybrid based role (office at Laurence House and home working)
Will not be required to complete home visits as standard but might be necessary if short staffed on occasion
Special conditions

• HCPC Registration and Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy is needed
• The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary
50,175 - 52,269 per annum pro rata SOT (SCP 35 - 37)
N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
