Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice: To undertake specialist occupational therapy assessments, analysing the functional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs of service users with complex mental health conditions. Intervention Planning: To develop, implement, and evaluate individualised intervention plans using a range of evidence-based, recovery-focused approaches, both individually and in groups. Caseload Management: To autonomously manage a defined caseload, taking responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of service users, using graded activity to achieve therapeutic goals. Leadership & Supervision: To provide supervision, support, and guidance to junior staff, support workers, and OT students on practice placements.MDT Collaboration:
To work collaboratively as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), contributing specialist OT perspectives to care planning and risk management. Service Development: To contribute to the development and evaluation of the OT service and to lead on specific projects or areas of clinical practice. Professional Conduct: To maintain high standards of professional conduct and HCPC registration at all times, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
