Job Description



EMEA Syndication Centre manages, leads, coordinates and develops structured lending business and primary/secondary syndication activities within the EMEA region. As a Senior Officer - Project Finance, you will analyse, structure and execute Project Finance transactions within the EMEA region while developing and expanding the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Project Finance business and ancillary opportunities, so as to facilitate the delivery of strategy and business objectives of Bank of China London Branch and Bank of China (BOC) Group. This is a full time permanent position. Key responsibilities

  • Write concise business proposals and identify key credit risks. Lead and complete the internal credit process in line with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s policies and requirements
  • Engineer financing structure and term-sheets for Project Finance transactions and participate in deal pitching
  • Construct and review complex Project Finance models and key ratios and concepts used in them
  • Undertake regular market and industry research with a view to increase customer base in line with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk appetite and credit policies
  • Liaise and work with clients, other departments or overseas branches of the Bank and external counterparties to prepare, negotiate and execute appropriate finance documentation, ensuring that the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s position is protected at all times
  • Provide assistance to develop client relationships and identify project finance opportunities within the EMEA region in accordance with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s business strategy and credit policy
  • Cross-sell other departments\xe2\x80\x99 products to existing and potential clients within the EMEA region, with particular focus on the development of deposit and FX businesses
  • Undertake annual and semi-annual reviews of existing facilities by the scheduled dates
  • Undertake KYC/KYB processes
Requirements
  • Relevant professional qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in the Financial Services industry, focusing on Project and Structured Finance
  • Proven track record of undertaking project financing transactions and developing corporate relationships
  • An ability to analyse strengths and weaknesses of project financing transactions by taking into account the technology and commercial contracts proposed, regulatory and legal backdrop, and counterparties involved
  • An ability to navigate around and understand finance and security documentation, both bilateral and syndicated
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative credit analysis skills with exemplary financial modelling experience
  • Excellent communication skills
