We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified pharmacy technician to join our friendly and enthusiastic oncology pharmacy team working to provide an excellent oncology clinical service for our patients. As this is niche role , this will be a Band 4 to 5 progression role.


This is an ideal post for an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated technician with excellent interpersonal skills.


The role will include;


Working alongside the screening team and triage incoming queries. Liaising with the treatment units and cross site pharmacy teams, to ensure smooth delivery of daily treatments for Oncology patients. Undertake the maintenance of critical excel spreadsheets. Performing final accuracy checking where accredited to do so. You will be fully supported and trained by experienced oncology staff.
You will also play a key role in the support and development of pharmacy assistants and trainee technicians.

Main duties of the job

You will be someone who understands the importance of the Pharmacy Technician role within Pharmacy, who is passionate about; Pharmacy, Healthcare, providing patient centre care and upholding the GPhC professional standards.


Our core working hours are 08:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the voluntary bank holiday services.


You will be a professionally qualified Pharmacy Technician holding either the BTEC or NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services; and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and be a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT).
