QinetiQ Training & Simulation Ltd (QTSL) specialises in training, simulation and consultancy services in the defence domain. We combine ex-military expertise with strong simulation and analysis teams to provide innovative solutions tailored to the needs of each customer and deliver beyond expectation.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to support our OA & Wargaming team in the Training, Wargaming & Analysis area of the business. This part of QTSL deals in Operational Analysis, Wargaming, Experimentation, Modelling, Service Delivery and Training.

Successful candidates will work in, lead and mentor small project teams, both in our own offices and on customer sites in the UK and overseas. You will be delivering specialised analysis support to a range of clients. Building on your current experience you will be able to support the team in the design of analytical studies and experiments or support the delivery and analysis of wargame activities.

Successful applicants will be team players and be able to work on a diverse range of projects, usually under their own initiative. You will have a mature track record of leading teams and managing projects whilst maintaining a hand-on approach operational analysis. Working in a fast-paced environment, your role will be varied and challenging.

The successful candidate will have a range of skills and experience such as:

A track record of leading teams, mentoring junior members of staff and managing projects Experienced in one or more areas of Military Operational Analysis and/or experimentation A broad knowledge of OA methods and techniques encompassing both quantitative and qualitative techniques Research and data analysis experience Experience in the set-up and use of a variety of defence domain focused computer models, simulations and wargames Confident in customer engagement with proven problem solving, time management and communication skills An interest in technology, gaming and modelling General awareness across the military domains including cyber and space
Many roles in QinetiQ Training & Simulation are subject to national security vetting being completed, applicants who already hold the appropriate level of vetting may be able to transfer it upon appointment. Certain roles are also subject to additional restrictions, which mean factors such as nationality or previous nationalities may affect the roles that you can be employed in.

Pay: Up to 70,000.00 per year
