Gama Aviation is actively recruiting for a
Senior Operations Controller
to join our excellent Ground Operations team in Farnborough.
Working at the very core of our business in our 24/7 Operations Control Centre, you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, efficient, and timely aircraft services to our clients.
This senior position supports the Duty Operations Manager in inspiring the shift team to consistently deliver the highest service levels, exceed client expectations, and act as a role model within the Ground Operations community.

Responsibilities
Assisting the Duty Operations Manager with the delivery of client experience to both internal and external stakeholders.
Preparation and monitoring the validity of operations with regards to:
+ Crew flight briefs
+ Operational Flight planning
+ Flight Time Limitations (FTL) schemes
+ Ground Handling services and arrangements
+ Overflight, Landing and Charter Permits
+ Flight watch of active company flights
+ Weather watch Processing pilot duty and rest records in accordance with instructions as defined in the Operations Manual and Operations Procedure Manual.
Close liaison with the Engineering Department and maintenance organisations regarding aircraft serviceability.
Supporting the Duty Operations Manager in updating clients internally and externally on aircraft serviceability.
Oversight and management of day-to-day workflow of Operations Controllers as agreed by the Duty Operations Manager.
Assisting the Operations managerial team in ensuring staff are trained to the same standard, coaching, developing, and mentoring Operations Controllers and apprentices.
Acting as a role model within the Ground Operations community, correctly following and encouraging established processes and procedures.
Covering tasks and duties of the Duty Operations Manager in their absence.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required
Minimum 5 years Ground Operations experience.
Proven flight planning and operational experience, ideally gained within a Business Aviation environment.
Sound knowledge and understanding of national and international aviation regulations and their effect on day-to-day operational requirements.
Recent experience in a similar role within a similar organisation, with the ability to deal with complex operational issues inherent to a fast-moving environment.
Sound knowledge of EuroControl, Foreflight, PPS and Flight Time Limitation schemes.
Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including senior management and clients.
