Here at Ocado Logistics, we are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Operations Manager to join our high-performing team at Dordon CFC -- one of the most advanced and complex automated sites in our network.


As a Senior Operations Manager, you will provide strategic, hands-on leadership to a large multi-layered team, drive operational excellence, and shape a positive, progressive culture within a legacy environment undergoing transformation.

About the Role

The SOM is responsible for the coordination and development of all aspects of CFC activity and Delivery operations in a highly automated and progressive environment. You will inspire and motivate a large management team to create an open, diverse and engaging culture, working closely with subject matter experts and a strong tiered management structure to deliver agreed KPIs for our client.


You will ensure consistently outstanding service to customers within a safe, clean, respectful, aspirational, productive and flexible work environment. This includes ensuring full health & safety adherence and legislative compliance across the entire CFC, vehicle and asset fleet.


This is a leadership role requiring authenticity, visibility and genuine influence. You will energise and motivate the team, valuing their experience and encouraging loyalty, pride, trust and aspiration. You will foster a culture of continuous improvement, learning, development and personal growth.

What You'll Lead

A large, skilled team including c.10 Operations Managers, c.40 Area Managers and c.50 Coordinators


Day-to-day Inbound operations, shift activity, workflow optimisation and labour planning

Safety, efficiency, fleet compliance and performance across a large-scale automated environment
A culture of collaboration, engagement and continuous improvement

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership




Oversee Inbound operations in a fast-paced, high-volume automated setting


Ensure robust daily execution and operational flow

Lead workforce planning in line with demand

Maintain high compliance across CFC operations, vehicle and asset fleets
Build strong partnerships across Operations Managers

Data & Performance




Own daily reporting and data-driven decision making


Analyse KPIs and provide clear, actionable feedback

Lead performance management using PROD systems

Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities

People Leadership




Provide hands-on leadership, coaching and capability development across all management layers


Inspire confidence, engagement and proactive problem solving

Support managers through challenges, grievances and cultural change

Promote learning, self-development and team identity

Change & Culture




Lead teams through systems challenges, operational transitions and legacy processes


Drive cultural improvement in an environment with historic grievance patterns
Model aspirational behaviours that influence performance and teamwork

What we need from you:

Excellent communicator at all levels Data-driven with robust analytical skills Previous management experience in a large-scale, high-volume operational environment -- ideally a 24/7, productivity-focused and highly automated warehouse operation Experience in continuous improvement environments Experience in change management; not afraid to drive cultural improvements Able to influence, engage and build strong relationships across operations IOSH Managing Safely or Managing Safety at Ocado qualification Working knowledge of WMS/WCS, Knapp systems, ATLAS or other automated platforms
