. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated planning professional with deep expertise in
Primavera P6
, including
resource and cost loading
, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and maintain fully integrated construction programmes using
Primavera P6
, covering all phases of the project lifecycle.
Resource-load and cost-load
programmes accurately, reflecting labour, plant, equipment, and material requirements aligned to the work breakdown structure (WBS).
Ensure that cost-loaded programmes align with project budgets, estimates, and cash flow forecasts.
Monitor project performance using earned value management techniques, highlighting deviations and recommending corrective actions.
Collaborate with commercial and finance teams to support progress valuations, forecasts, and cost reporting.
Conduct critical path analysis, develop mitigation programmes, and support claims preparation where delays occur.
Interface regularly with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure programme integrity and accuracy.
Provide weekly/monthly programme updates, reports, and lookahead schedules to senior management.
Operate independently, demonstrating strong initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
Requirements:
Extensive experience as a
Primavera P6 Planner
on
large-scale infrastructure projects
; experience in
tunnelling or microtunnelling
is highly desirable.
Proven ability to develop and maintain
resource- and cost-loaded
construction programmes.
Strong working knowledge of
earned value management
(EVM), programme risk analysis, and progress measurement.
Able to work independently with minimal guidance, demonstrating a proactive approach to planning and scheduling challenges.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to interfacing with multidisciplinary project teams.
Immediate availability or short notice preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience working with
NEC
or
FIDIC
contract forms.
