We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our Community Paediatric Physiotherapy Team on a permanent substantive basis.
Our wonderful team of Paediatric Physiotherapists would be delighted to help you to further your career in the exciting world of Children's Physiotherapy.
The successful applicant will be required to have previous experience of working with a paediatric neurodevelopmental caseload. The post holder will work within the service area of Derby City and Southern Derbyshire, and will need to be able to lone work in a variety of settings including clinics, homes and educational settings (mainstream and specialist settings).
The service is forward thinking and supportive of new ideas. We operate flexible working arrangements. Regular supervision is provided and we encourage training and personal development. Access to transport is required and allowances are payable.
Attendance at a face to face interview will be required.
To manage a mixed caseload of children and young people within a community setting and provide physiotherapy input in line with servie pathways, evidencing high level planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions.
To provide physiotherapy advice to parents, carers and education settings leading to an effective package of care using clinical experience, clinical reasoning and evidence based/child centred principles, thus ensuring a quality service is delivered.
To supervise and teach technical instructors and students and provide clinical supervision for colleagues in order that all staff achieve their full potential.
To participate in planning and development of the service to ensure a quality service is delivered against national agendas.
To work closely with the multi-agency team to ensure physiotherapy is fully integrated into the child's care programme.
To deliver an age appropriate package of physiotherapy intervention for older children and young adults to support transition into adult services.
