Senior Paid Advertising Executive



The Senior Paid Advertising Executive is an important role within our growing digital marketing team, ideally suited for an experienced individual with a robust understanding and hands-on experience in paid strategies across multiple channels, with a special focus on Google Ads & Meta Ads. While not necessarily the "oracle" of the department, this position demands deep platform knowledge (primarily across Google and Meta) and the ability to independently drive performance, support the Paid Advertising Manager, and contribute innovative ideas that elevate our clients' presence across their paid advertising platforms. This role is perfect for someone with at least 2 years of agency experience - or 3 years of relevant industry experience - who is excited to help shape and optimise advanced paid advertising campaigns across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:



Paid Advertising Enthusiast:

Stay ahead of emerging industry trends, advertising tools, and platform updates (primarily Google & Meta, but also Pinterest, TikTok, etc.). Apply this expertise to develop strategies that align with broader marketing goals, driving brand visibility, conversions, and revenue growth.

Paid Advertising Campaign Implementation:

Assisting and at times leading in setting up and optimising paid campaigns on platforms like Google & Meta. Execute tasks independently such as audience targeting, ad copy creation, ad creative briefing and bid management ensuring ongoing improvements in click-through rates, conversion rates, and other performance metrics.

Funnel Targeting:

Be responsible for identifying the most optimal funnel area for targeting which seamlessly aligns with a clients overall marketing strategy and thus, wider channel initiatives. Nurture audiences to an expert level irrespective of whether it is top, middle, and bottom-of-funnel campaigns.

Independent Initiative:

Take full ownership of non-core or specialised tasks (e.g., campaign expansions). Demonstrate problem-solving skills by proactively identifying issues and implementing solutions, whilst ensuring these marry up with broader marketing goals.

Auditing & Reporting:

Conduct in-depth audits of new and existing campaigns, both internally and for clients, identifying areas for improvement. Communicate audit findings to the Paid Advertising Manager or the Client Services team, offering actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Team Support & Development

: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior members within the paid advertising team. Share best practices, coordinate with key stakeholders, and contribute to a culture of learning and innovation.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the design team and external creative partners to develop compelling ad creatives.

Framework Compliance and Enhancement:

Help implement and maintain our internal frameworks (e.g., "CALLISTO" and its parent "JUPITER"), ensuring all paid advertising activities align with the broader marketing strategy. Proactively suggest improvements to enhance legacy frameworks and ensure consistent application across all campaigns.

Client Comms Support:

Communicate effectively with the Client Services team to provide updates on campaign performance, deliver insights, and offer strategic recommendations.

Opportunity Identification:

Identify and share potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities with senior team members.

Reporting and Analytics:

Monitor campaign metrics (e.g., CPM, CPC, CTR, conversions) and compile performance reports to share with senior team members and clients. Use reporting tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or in-house dashboards to track performance accurately.

Skills and Qualifications:



A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Paid Search role at an agency or 3 years of industry experience. Deep knowledge of Google & Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram); familiarity with additional paid social platforms (TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest) is advantageous. Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable strategies. Strong sense of creative direction to ensure ads resonate with targeted audiences. Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and effectively. Proven track record of mentoring and supporting junior team members. Confidence in working with cross-functional teams (design, PPC, client services). A proactive learner, eager to stay updated with the latest Paid Advertising trends and best practices.

KPI Overview:



1. Raw Performance Metrics



a) Paid Advertising Channel Spend Growth: This KPI measures the increase in the amount of money clients are spending on paid media over time. It reflects the trust and confidence clients place in the paid media strategies being implemented.

b) Paid Advertising Channel Revenue / Profit Growth: This KPI assesses the growth in revenue or profit generated for clients from their paid media campaigns. It is a crucial indicator of the effectiveness and ROI of the paid media strategies implemented.

c) Turnover Growth: Contribute to the overall business growth by increasing turnover through strategic technical initiatives. Measure the direct and indirect impact of framework strategies on revenue and business growth.

2. JUPITER/CALLISTO Framework Implementation Rate



This KPI assesses the extent and effectiveness of the adaptation and application of our e-commerce framework on client websites. It includes:

a)

Adaptation Rate: Measure the percentage of our e-commerce framework's features and strategies that have been adapted to each client's website. This includes assessing the customisation and integration of framework components relevant to the client's specific needs and industry.

3. Client Retention & Upgrades



This KPI measures the success in maintaining and expanding the existing client base. Key aspects include:

a) Paid Advertising client retention rate

Salary & Benefits:



A competitive salary ranging from 30,000 to 35,000, commensurate with experience. Commission for upsells Hybrid working A collaborative and innovative work environment.
