What you\'ll be doing:

We are looking for a Senior Payments Architect to join our growing Banking and Financial Markets practice.

As a Payments Architect, you will be managing requirements within a Payments project. Taking responsibility for the driving the strategy, managing the process of discovery and refinement of functional and technical requirements, progressing options and ensuring there is a value based prioritisation approach.

Working with the product owner and relevant stakeholders you will be responsible for both clarifying acceptance criteria/ business logic and providing delivery options to make decisions based on their value, as well as coaching them on product management agile outputs and capabilities.

Through collaboration with business teams and end users you will review and understand the business needs, shaping them within a product backlog in collaboration with functional SMEs. You will add value through problem solving by identifying gaps and inefficiencies in current processes, procedures, and operating models and recommend or design an optimal future state.

What you\'ll need:

We will provide you with an excellent platform to develop your career but we are looking for you to have already demonstrated a proven record of accomplishment as a Payments Architect, with a strong knowledge of Payments value chain and regulations and significant experience with agile methodologies and common tooling.

You will have excellent stakeholder management, oral and written communication skills, interpersonal and consultative skills and be able to take ownership and deal with issues directly, identifying solutions to minimising escalations.

You will also have expertise in;

  • Domain experience in SWIFT, SEPA and other UK payment infrastructure BACS, CHAPS)
  • Knowledge of payments regulatory and compliance requirements e.g. payments screening
  • Hands on experience with payments architecture and best practices e.g. event driven architecture, APIs
  • Value management & prioritisation techniques
  • Using modern software development toolsets including DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery
