, you will play a key role in supporting and ensuring accurate, timely payroll execution across multiple international regions, specifically
Germany, Ireland, the UK, China, Hong Kong, and India
. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with country-specific payroll laws and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
Process and review monthly payrolls for assigned countries (Germany, Ireland, UK, China, Hong Kong, and India) in partnership with third-party payroll providers.
Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, deductions, and benefits in compliance with local labor laws and statutory requirements.
Perform pre- and post-payroll audits to ensure integrity of data and reconcile payroll reports to general ledger.
Serve as the first point of escalation for payroll issues in the assigned countries, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely corrections.
Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to maintain seamless payroll operations and resolve employee queries.
Coordinate year-end reporting activities including tax filings, statutory submissions, and reconciliation of payroll data.
Assist in the continuous improvement of payroll processes, including automation and documentation of standard operating procedures.
Ensure timely submission of all payroll-related filings and payments to tax and social security authorities.
Maintain confidentiality of payroll data and comply with GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
3-5 years (or equivalent) of payroll experience with direct responsibility for processing payroll in
Germany and Ireland.
Strong knowledge of statutory payroll regulations, tax codes, and employment legislation in the mentioned countries.
Experience working with global payroll platforms and third-party vendors (e.g., Strada, Cloudpay, Paybooks, Safeguard, or similar).
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Payroll certifications (e.g., CIPP, APA, IPASS, or equivalent) are a plus.
Experience with Workday or Strada for payroll is advantageous.
Proficiency in German, Mandarin, or Hindi is a bonus but not required.
