Are you an experienced HR professional looking to add value in a dynamic and fast-paced HR environment?


As Senior People Advisor, you will provide credible and actionable HR support and advice to employees and people leaders across a wide range of areas including; employee relations, compliance with employment legislation in a global context, wellbeing and engagement initiatives, policy and process development and improvement, organisational design and change initiatives.


Reporting to the People Director - Healix International, the Senior People Advisor is a broad and impactful HR operational generalist role that combines a deep knowledge and understanding of people practices, with creativity and commercial insight to deliver effective and added value people solutions, supporting in the delivery of the People strategy across a global organisation.

Skills and Experience:




As Senior People Advisor you will be happy to both get stuck in with operational and administrative tasks, as well as being able to influence and support the the delivery of our people strategy.


Proven experience in HR advisory or generalist role, with a strong focus on delivery of operational HR activity, employee relations, performance management and absence management. Deep knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices, with experience in managing complex ER cases and ensuring compliance. Exposure to operating in a global environment and therefore varying employment law contexts is preferable but not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders. Desirable but not essential, experience with visa and immigration processes, including managing work permits and employee relocations. Analytical mindset with experience in HR reporting, data analysis, and creating actionable insights. Experience supporting organisational change and delivering change management initiatives. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement wellbeing programs and manage associated initiatives. Experience collaborating with L&D teams to develop and deliver employee training and development programs.
Relevant Qualifications

CIPD Level 5 or above (or equivalent) is highly desirable.

About The Role




The role of Senior People Advisor will include the following responsibilities.


Trusted Advisor for People Managers:



Serve as a trusted advisor and the first point of contact for people leaders, providing guidance and advice on HR policies, employee relations, and operational best practice. Support employees and people managers with people-related matters, offering coaching and solutions to ensure effective team leadership and performance

Employee Relations:



Provide expert advice to employees and people managers on managing employee relations cases, such as performance management, disciplinary, capability and grievances, absence management and operational HR activity. Conduct thorough investigations, ensuring fair and consistent processes, and provide guidance on appropriate outcome in compliance with relevant company policies and local employment legislation. Support managers with conflict resolution and mediation to maintain a positive working environment.

Supporting and Driving Change Initiatives:



Assist in the planning and execution of change initiatives, such as organisational restructures (including redundancy and TUPE), process changes, and transformation initiatives. Guide people leaders through change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions for employees.

Wellbeing, Engagement and Inclusion Activities:



Support the development and implementation of Wellbeing, Engagement and Inclusion initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and the People Strategy. Act as a key point of contact for employees seeking wellbeing support, providing advice and resources to improve overall employee wellbeing and engagement. Track and assess the effectiveness of wellbeing programs and suggest improvements where necessary.

Proactive Policy Development - Global Environment:

Contribute to the development and review of People policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date, legally compliant, and aligned with best practices within a global context. Collaborate with the Group HR Department on the creation of new policies that address changes in employment legislation in a global environment, and emerging industry, market and HR trends.

Compliance with Employment Law and Risk Mitigation - Global Context:



Advise the business on the practical application of employment legislation and help mitigate potential legal risks. Conduct audits and reviews of HR processes to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Provide risk assessments related to HR processes, employee relations, and legal matters, offering guidance to people leadership on potential impacts.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:



Working in conjunction with the Recruitment Business Partner and Group HR team, carry out recruitment activities such as writing job adverts, conducting screening calls and interviewing. Where required, coach hiring managers on recruitment processes and best practice.

Learning and Development:



Work in close collaboration with the Learning, Development and Quality Teams to develop and deliver People Leadership development initiatives. Develop and delivery training workshop on HR policies and process, best practice and compliance with employment legislation. Measure and assess the effectiveness of training workshops, focussing on continuous improvement.

Visa and Immigration Activity and Advice:



Support visa and immigration processes for employees, ensuring compliance with relevant immigration laws. Liaise with external legal advisors to manage complex visa cases and provide support for relocating employees.

People Reporting and MI:



In conjunction with the HR Admin Team, prepare and deliver People reports and key metrics, such as turnover, absence, employee relations trends, and employee engagement data. Use people data and insights to provide recommendations for improving people processes, performance, and overall employee experience.

HR Administration Activities:



Ensure compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and confidentiality requirements in all HR administration processes.
