The Pharmacy department is looking for Senior Rotational Pharmacists to join the team. You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have extensive hospital-based clinical experience. We will also consider applicants as a band 6 to 7 progression role, with a clear set of objectives and support structures provided to support development from a band 6 level to a band 7 level.
Our rotational band 7 pharmacists form an important part of the MDT on our specialist wards including respiratory, endocrinology, paediatrics and cardiology, providing a high level pharmacy clinical service.
You will use your medicines optimisation knowledge and skills to enhance the patient experience and improve flow across the Trust. We will support you to continue to develop your clinical skills and build on your existing knowledge to continue to your career progression.
Participate in the provision of Clinical Pharmacy services to clinical areas at Princess Alexandra Hospital
Assess patients for specialised needs i.e. monitored dose systems.
Oversee the work of other members of the pharmacy team (pharmacists, technicians and ATO's).
Liaise with GP's and community pharmacists regarding medication information at discharge.
Support work of designated directorate pharmacist and to deputise for them in their absence to w ork as a member of the directorate team and act as the directorate pharmacist when required
