Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday (will consider job share)

Shift times:

7.5 hour shifts between 0800-1700, flexible to the need of the service

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join our Pharmacy Team at our prestigious Harborne Hospital in Birmingham.

The Harborne Hospital delivers a wide range of specialist services including oncology, haematology, rheumatology, cardiology, and gastroenterology--caring for adult patients across complex pathways.


As a key member of the pharmacy team, you will work under the guidance of senior colleagues to provide efficient, patient focused, operational pharmacy services which consistently meet the needs of all service users.


You will contribute to the core pharmacy operations which may include dispensary services, stock control and management, medicines distribution and ward top-up services. You will work closely with Pharmacy Technicians and other Pharmacy Assistants to maintain excellent professional standards and patient care.


You will play a role in delivering the department Key Performance Indicators, and contributing to the continuous development of the pharmacy service.

What you'll bring:

Pharmacy NVQ2 (essential)*
Hospital Pharmacy experience (desirable*)
Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Ability to prioritise workload
