Senior Pharmacy Technician - Medicines Procurement and Homecare

37.5 hours per week



We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Pharmacy Procurement and Stores team as a Senior Pharmacy Technician within the Pharmacy Procurement team.

The successful candidate will support the medicines procurement functions, including liaising with suppliers, other departments and external customers.



Main duties of the position:



Support the pharmacy supply chain manager. Co-ordinate the operational management of the Pharmacy Procurement & Homecare service Ensure adequate staffing levels and skill mix are maintained, escalation where necessary. Supervise and line manage staff. Ensure implementation and management of contracts. Actively develop the Procurement and Homecare service

This post will be required to liaise with external organisation to facilitate the timely reimbursement process where the supplier has not been able to honour current contractual agreements. We are looking for someone who is able to show initiative; is helpful and approachable; organised and can work accurately; good IT skills, problem solving and communication skills.



You will have previous experience in an administrative role in a similar environment, with a willingness to work in other areas within pharmacy when required. There will be a commitment to support the stores area on a daily basis.
