We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist passionate about providing the best possible treatment for Neuro outpatients. The patients have conditions such as; Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Functional neurological disorder and peripheral nerve conditions.You will work as part of a supportive and dedicated team to develop yourself as a senior Physiotherapist along all of the four pillars of clinical practice.The service is based at the William Harvey Hospital and Buckland hospital. There is an ambition to provide a service at Kent and Canterbury Hospital also. The successful applicant will be expected to work at a combination of these sites. Some flexibility is possible and will be discussed at interview.Main duties of the jobSenior Physiotherapists work closely with all users of our services and their families, friends and carers who all play an invaluable contribution in how our users experience our services. Senior Physiotherapists are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services provided across the health economy by:Keeping the people who using our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessmentsEnsuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and proceduresEnsuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning processPhysiotherapists who work in all these services require a range of core skills as follows:Assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of holistic therapy interventionGood communication skills to contribute to multidisciplinary team working and support patients rehabilitation goals and plans * Collaborative working with our community colleagues to ensure timely transfer of information and co-ordinated discharge planningAbout usWe are one of the largest hospital trusts in England, with five hospitals and community clinics serving a local population of around 800,000 people.
