Job Description

East Surrey Hospital Physiotherapy Department is a friendly, forward-thinking and innovative department with a well-established Clinical Governance programme and a focus on developing staff.



The Care of the Elderly Team/ICT is responsible for the assessment, management and discharge planning of a varied and diverse clinical caseload across a range of areas. This includes both care of the elderly wards and intermediate care wards. The team works closely with the MDT sharing clinical governance and training across the disciplines. It has a focus on quality of life for patients and quality of care.



We are looking for:



A physiotherapist who has completed their junior rotations and is ready to take on increased responsibility; or, a senior physiotherapist interested in specialising or in expanding their role A physiotherapist who has experience working within the acute setting, managing a wide range of medical patients including the acutely unwell, patients requiring chest physiotherapy, complex discharge planning and liaising with other agencies Flexibility in working practice within an evolving and expanding team A physiotherapist interested in developing their skills in supervision and leadership
