Description and requirements

Our UK-wide building team has built a reputation for delivering high quality projects in Commercial and Mixed-used developments, Healthcare, Custodial, Education and Defence Sectors.

Due to continued success, we are looking for a Senior Planner for Defence to manage and co-ordinate the production of fully integrated programmes, phase sequence plans and method statements from bid stage through to final commissioning, handover and occupation. In addition, you will establish a suite of associated project controls, and be responsible for the monitoring and reporting against such control documents.

You will:

  • Manage and co-ordinate the overall planning process, maintaining a proactive and professional service to the planning, bid and project teams
  • Contribute towards the management of the bid and project planning / programming strategic plan
  • Assist the management team in preparation of method statements to meet the needs of the project
  • Manage the delivery and maintenance of all associated programmes as required by the bid and project planning and programming strategic plan
  • Contribute towards the monitoring of progress and production of all internal and external progress reports for completion and delivery to the bid & project leadership teams, client and other parties
  • Provide input and implementation of the project risk and opportunity management plan
  • Contribute towards the preparation and distribution of site organisation and logistics plans
  • Ensure Contractual and Change Management programme related aspects are fully complied with
We\'re looking for:
  • Experience on major DIO/MOD projects and different forms of construction and types of Contracts (incl. NEC form of contract)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Planning Software (Primavera P6 and Asta PowerProject)
  • HNC/Degree qualification in a construction related subject or trade qualifications
  • Member of professional institution (MCIOB) would be desirable
