As a

Senior Planner

within our Regional Civils team, you will be part of an exciting project at Portsmouth Dockyard providing electrical supply to shoreside power system. Portsmouth Sea Change project aims to be the first in the UK to be zero emissions by 2030, significantly improving air quality in the harbour area while helping the port to realise its long-term environmental ambitions. What you'll be doing



As a Senior Planner with our growing business, you'll be:


Responsible at tender stage to the Planning Lead or Bid Manager for the range of activities involved in the project planning life cycle Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance. Identifying planning scope, major constraints and contract requirements Identifying major quantities and factors affecting the programme Establishing and agreeing with Operations construction outputs and agree working hours with appropriate Estimator Establishing and agreeing with Operations and Bid Team key methods of construction, sequencing, installation and commissioning.


Who we're looking for

You will need the following:




Have significant experience of planning services - ideally within construction Know how to use planning techniques and planning toolsets Understand tender documents, contracts and specifications Understand various methods of planning, programming and progress monitoring Want to work with people - we're about teamwork, not siloes Develop relationships, trust and confidence to get every team to do what's needed Be unflappable as situations change, plans evolve and decisions need making.
