Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Senior Planner- Transverse on the Sizewell C Project and you'll deliver complex work that really matters to our business, and the world around you.

Sizewell C will create a 3.2 gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for at least 60 years. It will be built next to Sizewell B which began operating in 1995 and has so far avoided more than 76 million tonnes of carbon emissions. Our proposal is to build a new nuclear power station on the East Suffolk coast which will supply 6 million homes with low-carbon electricity.

Role Purpose:

Lead and coordinate cross functional planning activities across multiple

workstreams.


Ensure that all integrated planning processes are consistent , efficient with strategic project objectives and supports the team in the development of the integrated schedule.

Provide expert guidance to maintain coherence between design, procurement,

manufacture, install phases of the project



What you'll be doing


As a Senior Planner, you'll have the following accountabilities;

Lead the development, integration and maintenance of the transverse

scope within the overall detailed schedule

Conduct critical path analysis, float management and scenario planning
Lead schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning

Mentor planning engineers ensuring consistency in methodology , reporting , and control standards

Produce / feed in to and present high-level planning reports and forecasts

to key stakeholders

Actively contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes within the team to maintain a robust schedule and monthly way of working (Including change control processes)
Lead live planning sessions within the team , wider DLT and key stakeholders where required to support key development areas of the schedule

Look ahead to support on upcoming phases with proactive planning

Understand the high-level scope across each function to enable support / consistent approach to common (transverse) activities

Who we're looking for






Degree in Engineering, or a related technical filed
Experience in project planning with experience of

working within the Nuclear sector


Experience of working on large scale projects

Advance user of Primavera P6

Strong technical understanding
