MPG is a dynamic, specialist planning consultancy delivering nationally significant work across the minerals, waste, infrastructure, and industrial sectors. We are seeking a
Senior Planner
to join our growing team, ideally based from our
Bingley or Skipton office
.
The Role
You'll play a key role in providing high quality consultancy advice to clients and delivering complex and high-profile projects, from circular economy facilities and industrial expansions to large-scale quarry and restoration schemes. Working as part of a close-knit, technically strong team, you'll lead on applications, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and support clients from concept through to determination and beyond.
The role will include:
Management of planning projects;
Production and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments;
Review and comment on technical reports and internal peer reviews;
Company Representation at planning committees and public consultation events;
Business development and developing new and existing client relationships.
About You
Minimum
3 years' experience
in planning, preferably within minerals, waste, infrastructure, renewables, or industrial development.
Experience managing or supporting
major or complex applications
.
Ideally
RTPI Chartered
, or currently
eligible for chartership
.
Strong understanding of planning policy and environmental regulation.
Clear and confident communicator with good technical writing skills.
Proactive, organised, and comfortable working within a collaborative consultancy setting.
