Senior Platform Product Manager

London, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Senior Platform Product Manager - Remote, UK Timezone

Live shows make us feel good. They're a time to hang with our friends, discover new artists or lose ourselves on the dancefloor. We're on a mission to bring all of this to more fans, more often - and that's where you come in.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our engineering and data platform squads.

At DICE, you'll be part of the company that is redefining live entertainment. It's a place where you can be yourself, influence the culture, and create work that you're proud of.

About the role

As Platform Product Manager, you'll be at the heart of helping build the foundations used by our Engineering teams at DICE.

Our Data Platform and Engineering Platform squads are responsible for:

Building and maintaining tooling used by other squads, elevating their Dev experience. Discovering, testing and defining our system architectures with POCs. Keeping our systems up-to-date and addressing security concerns.

DICE has always been a product of firsts, but this role is slightly different. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between multiple technical teams, focusing on product ownership for a technical product, rather than typical user-facing functionalities. Your customers are the internal squads who build awesome products.

We've set the bar high for engineering excellence and a weirdly easy developer experience, but there's lots more to be done.

You will

Work with data and engineering from concept to launch, delivering best-in-class developer tooling. Understand our system architectures to innovate in an agile manner and define new patterns that enable DICE to scale without increasing costs exponentially. Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track key metrics, progress, and performance. Co-lead your squad alongside the engineering managers, influence engineering strategy, and align them with the company's strategic objectives and technological capabilities. Collaborate with your squads to facilitate ideation and architect new offerings that stay true to our principle of being "weirdly easy". Act as a liaison between technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of platform development goals. Engage actively with stakeholders (such as Engineering leaders and developers) to discuss and prioritise product development needs and goals. Lead Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, to ensure effective and efficient project delivery. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within and between teams to drive innovation and problem-solving. Play a key role in communicating product and engineering decisions across DICE and Fever - our parent group. Foster relationships with 3rd party services that are foundational to our systems.

About you

You love music and are passionate about our mission to bring more people together through live shows. You are excited about building interfaces, self-service tooling and have development efficiency in mind, always considering scalability, reusability and security. You are proficient with data analysis, using it to inform your decision-making, drive experimentation, place bets and understand best practices. You have a bias for action, high agency and can drive urgency with your squad. You are an effective communicator, using both words and visuals to translate engineering language to non-engineering audiences, and defend architecture decisions. You understand how to tailor your comms to different audiences. You are experienced in working with engineering teams, helping them plan, scope and organise big engineering challenges. You thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where your team is held accountable to highly ambitious goals.

Application process

Our process usually involves a quick chat on the phone, a task and an interview where you'll meet the people you'll work with. We'll keep you fully informed along the way.
