you're not just a player; you're the architect of our future! Dive into designing, building, and maintaining the core infrastructure that fuels our internal platforms, empowering software development teams to deliver applications with unparalleled efficiency, security, and reliability. In our Agile and Kanban-driven environment, you'll champion our "platform as a product" philosophy, crafting robust, scalable, and automated solutions. Step up as a senior team member, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge best practices in infrastructure management and automation. Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Automation

+ Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Lead the development of reusable Terraform modules and Packer images. + Deep expertise in core AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, VPC, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IAM, KMS, etc.

CI/CD Pipeline Development & Management

+ Implement strategies for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment, including blue/green deployments, canary releases, and rollbacks.

DevOps & Automation

+ Champion a DevOps culture within Wickes, promoting collaboration, shared responsibility, and continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Mentorship

+ Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.

Does this sound like you?

Proven experience in a Senior Platforms Engineer role, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering role. Expertise and hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing complex infrastructure on AWS. Proven experience building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines from scratch and optimizing existing ones. Solid understanding of containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/ECS). Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Load Balancing) and security best practices in the cloud. Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
