Munchkins Childcare Ltd is a small business in Bristol BS4. We are fun, supportive and rewarding, and our goal is to provide an enriching, safe and fun environment for children to explore and play.

Senior Play Worker needed for a fun after school setting (working with ages 7-11)

Contracted working hours are

every

Monday - Thursday

each week,

time only

between

3.10pm and 6.10pm

at a Play setting based in a school in

Brislington

(12 hours per week).

(Please understand this role is a

permanent contract working every Monday - Thursdays each week

, it isn't shift work or short term work, we need committed team members for continuity with children)

(As well as the above permanent contracted hours, there is also

OPTIONAL overtime during some of the school holidays to work at our holiday clubs Monday - Friday, either 5 hour morning shifts or 10 hour all day shifts

which would make the role more all year round, if interested.)

Pay rate

will start on

13.20 - 13.75 per hour depending on qualifications.

You'll need to have

good leadership

and be

reliable, confident, enjoy working with groups of children, show initiative

and have a

positive can-do attitude.

You will work closely with the Play Leader, delivering a safe and fun environment. You will run the session in the absence of the Play Leader or when the Play Leader needs to complete another task.

We are looking for a strong candidate and are keen to promote the strongest team members into more leadership roles.

You'll need to make sure that the children are kept safe, they play well and we provide them with a snack.

We need to get someone into this role quite soon so don't delay, please get in touch.

An enhanced DBS will be required and can be arranged if not already on the DBS update service.

Experience working with children is necessary as well as experience in some leadership.

You must speak, read, write and understand English as part of an Ofsted requirement.

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare would be a bonus but not necessary.
