I\'m working with a global organisation based in central London who are looking to add a Senior PMO Lead to join their Senior Projects Office. The Senior PMO Lead will play a pivotal role in overseeing Finance Operations, intercompany transfer processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing projects involving hundreds of millions in value. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management and financial operations. My client is seeking a professional with in-depth experience in designing, managing, and implementing all necessary activities to manage the successful execution of medium to large-scale project(s) in the region of \xc2\xa35-30M.

This role will also be responsible for indirect leadership and support of a team of project resources across multiple departments and business units. The ability to think critically, plan and execute effectively while collaborating across teams and locations will be critical to the success in this role. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to perform PMO duties that will strategically lead the project Governance and Assurance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees and tracks project performance of medium and large-scale project(s) ensuring on-time delivery and proactive management and escalation of risks and issues.
  • Plan, initiate and support the execution and delivery of projects while adhering to project management processes. Must have strong initiative and adopt the project management methodology including risk and issue management, status reporting, etc.
  • Sets-up project infrastructure including project plan, dashboard reporting, executive reporting, milestone tracking and risk logs within Smartsheet, CBRE\'s tool of choice. Prepare detailed status updates for projects and Executive summaries as required.
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Compliance, Internal Audit, Change Management and Communications, etc.) to create detailed plans that are integrated into the overall project reporting artifacts. Promotes transparency and collaboration across all stakeholders, departments, and project team members.
  • Consults with business partners to clarify and define complex project requirements, budgets, and business cases to align with strategic objectives.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Bachelor\'s degree (BA/BSc) in a related field of work with a minimum of 7 years\' experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management or PMO, with a focus on finance projects and intercompany transfer processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with significant financial impact, involving hundreds of millions in value.
  • Oversees and tracks project performance of medium and large-scale project(s) ensuring on-time delivery and proactive management and escalation of risks and issues.
  • Practical experience in delivering projects using agile methods - key ones are SCRUM, Kanban, Lean XP.
MUST HAVE\'s
  • PMP or Agile certification essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information in written and verbal form to subordinates, customers and supervisors.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team. Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills.
