On behalf of our prestigious client, a dynamic Data Science start-up based in Belfast, we are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer. Our client has made significant strides in the North American Insurance market, aiding their parent company to break the $1 billion revenue barrier through cutting-edge data science and analytics. Role Overview

This is a rare opportunity for a skilled Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join a ground-breaking team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in a greenfield project, putting their stamp on an innovative platform. Your main role will be to manage, support, and enhance the core Property insurance applications, playing a crucial part in the system modernisation efforts, including the configuration and integration of Guidewire systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development of technical design specifications based on functional requirements.
  • Design and implementation of comprehensive solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter.
  • Provision of architectural design recommendations and effective presentation of solution options with estimates.
  • Configuration of components such as Product Model, Rating, Rules, Form Patterns, UW issues, Batch Process, and Message Queue.
  • Enhancement of Guidewire Suite integrations and implementation of integrations between PolicyCenter and third-party vendors.
  • Adherence to the company\'s software development lifecycle to design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs.
  • Promotion of development standards, Guidewire best practices, and proposing solutions to boost team productivity and business results.
  • Active participation in professional development.
  • Completion of additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter 9+.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter, Java 8+, and SOAP/REST Web Services.
  • General understanding of Database normalization concepts and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) tools and related utilities.
  • Proven experience in coordinating activities, analytical reasoning, logical problem-solving, and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
  • Guidewire Professional Certification.
  • Knowledge of the Property Insurance domain.
