An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Portfolio Accountant, which offers a highly sought after career opportunity to work in both a Finance and Operations capacity. The role will include the day to day running of several of the Firms largest Global and European client mandates and single investor Fund Structures. This position is a Fixed-Term Contract for 12 months.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Preparation and review of investor reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual) for client mandates and Fund Structures
  • Oversight of Third Party administrators and external auditors
  • Performance analysis and valuation of investments
  • Liquidity monitoring, forecasts, and Investor draw downs
  • Calculation of foreign currency hedging requirements
  • Assisting the Investment Operations, Investment, Tax and Legal teams on deal support, including operational due diligence
  • Preparing ad-hoc financial analysis
  • Being a fund champion for underlying investments, which requires an understanding of the fund and preparation of the monthly pricing
  • Updating records and systems to account for AUM, transactions, and fees billable, reconciliations etc
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and leading the design and implementation of control improvements
Key Skills/Experience:
  • ACA / ACCA qualified wifh 2/3 years PQE
  • Prior experience with Big Four or top tier accountancy firm, or experience at a real estate or private equity at a fund manager or through audit experience preferred Strong financial control and analytical skills are essential
  • Good problem-solving, excellent attention fo details and strong excel skills are essential Solvency II experience desirable
  • Proactive and able to organize your own work and schedule, with ability to meet deadlines
  • Team player - able to work effectively and collaboratively within a small, dedicated team but also with the external service providers (ie. administrators)
  • Ability to prioritise and work across multiple projects
