Senior Positive Behaviour Support Workers
to join our growing team.
In this leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of care, providing first-line supervision and guidance to a team of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners. You will lead by example, modelling best practice, supporting staff development, guiding the implementation of care plans and risk management strategies, and ensuring our values and high standards of care are consistently upheld.
You will work closely with Behaviour Specialists, the residential care team, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred support for residents. Successful candidates will benefit from comprehensive induction, specialist training, and ongoing coaching from an experienced Behaviour Specialist, the Registered Manager, and the Senior Management Team.
This role involves supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, behaviours of concern, and other complex presentations within a residential setting. You will provide structured daily support, lead responses to incidents and emergencies, and contribute to the overall smooth, safe, and effective running of the home.
What We're Looking For
Strong leadership and team-management skills, with the ability to motivate and support others.
Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Sound knowledge and practical experience of safeguarding and risk management.
Skilled in care planning, transition planning, and developing individualised daily activity and support schedules.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Clear, confident, and compassionate communication skills.
A sensitive, supportive approach, with a strong commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.
Qualifications & Experience
Option 1:
Degree in Health & Social Care or a related discipline (e.g. Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy).
Minimum of 1 year's paid experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and behaviours that challenge.
CPI Safety Intervention / MAPA training (desirable - full training will be provided).
OR
Option 2:
Minimum of 3 years' paid experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health needs, and behaviours that challenge.
Experience overseeing the day-to-day delivery of care within a residential or nursing setting.
CPI Safety Intervention / MAPA training (desirable - full training will be provided).
