About us
------------
The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) at UCL was established by Professor Sir Ambrose Fleming, inventor of the thermionic valve and hence the founder of the discipline of electronics, in 1885 as the first department of electrical technology in England. That same pioneering tradition of innovation and excellence continues to underpin our work. We push in new directions across research, education and entrepreneurship, building on our long-established links with industry and benefitting from our loyal and supportive alumni community. We are committed to develop individuals and careers, across staff and students, developing and supporting our subject discipline.
About the role
------------------
We are looking to appoint no more than 10 Senior Postgraduate Teaching Assistants (SPGTAs) in the department. In addition to normal PGTA activities, SPGTAs will also be able to assist with PGTA coordination and training, and potentially take on more independent roles in teaching and learning support. The post holder will be invited to participate in improving PGTA experience in the department and help with the formation of a community of practice amongst departmental PGTAs to promote best practice.
SPGTA appointment will be at grade 6, starting on spine point 25.
About you
-------------
A suitable candidate should have already been appointed as a PGTA in the department for at least two academic years (candidates with less than 2 years of departmental PGTA experience may be exceptionally accepted provided that they have extensive prior relevant experience) and they should have experience with multiple aspects of teaching and learning support with demonstrated commitment to excellence in these activities. A suitable candidate should also be able to demonstrate in their application that they have adopted an evidence-based and reflective approach to supporting teaching and learning.

A CV highlighting your teaching and learning support experience and the area of expertise
