Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Job Description
Fixed-Term: 5 years
Full-time: 35 hours per week
The Opportunity:
As a senior post-doctoral researcher in the newly launched UK DRI Centre for Vascular Dementia Research the post-holder will develop and lead a program of high-quality research to improve our understanding of cerebral small vessel disease pathophysiology and its contribution to neurodegeneration and dementia. This will include directing and carrying out research projects involving in vivo and ex vivo human MR imaging and brain tissue analysis, staff management, securing funding, and publishing research findings in high impact journals.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week).
The salary for this post is 50,253 - 61,759 per annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- PhD in Neuroscience or a related field
- Prior post-doctoral experience in Neuroscience or Neurology
- Knowledge of advanced MRI-based techniques and analysis
- Statistical knowledge
- Experience in supervising students and research staff
