Role Overview:
Oldham Council are in the process of transforming Community Mental Health Services and are having specialist Social Work Teams working with the people of Oldham who have severe and enduring mental ill health. You will be co-located with Health colleagues working towards providing a comprehensive service. You will be working with clients with complex needs and supporting the Team Manager to support the Social Workers of the team and provide support and guidance to colleagues within Adult Social Care.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work with people who have complex needs and their carers to support them to be as independent as possible.
You will work with the manager to support the team to provide an efficient & effective service.
You will support colleagues and develop their skills supporting them to undertake ASYE & Band 7 consolidation.
Help develop & implement efficient ways of working and enabling the team to meet demand.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
A Social Work Degree or equivalent.
Experience of supervision and working within a Community team.
Experience of working with people with mental health issues.
An understanding of safeguarding and experience of undertaking safeguarding investigations.
Experience of undertaking Care Act Assessments adopting a strength based approach.
Excellent organisational skills..
