Eastbourne, East Sussex, United Kingdom

Job Description

Job introduction

About the role

Would you like to use your adult safeguarding knowledge and experience in a different way?

Would you like to use that experience to manage a small triage team to ensure adults in East Sussex are safeguarded against abuse and neglect? If so, a role in Health and Social Care Connect as a Senior Practitioner may be a challenging and rewarding role for you.

You would need to be a qualified and registered social worker with a comprehensive working knowledge of safeguarding policy, procedure and legislation. You would have professional oversight of the concerns and enquiries coming into the safeguarding triage hub; triaging and analysing complex cases and providing support and guidance to the team.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have good working knowledge and experience of East Sussex safeguarding policy and procedure;
  • Are self-motivated and who possess personal resilience to manage the large volumes of referrals coming into our service;
  • Are able to deal with competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
This is an office based role, Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and you would be working in a small dedicated team within the larger Health and Social Care Connect Service. Whilst the work is varied and fast paced it does not involve ongoing case management and case holding and every day is different.
