About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced Presales Network Engineer with deep technical expertise and a passion for supporting the UK Public Sector?


We're seeking a Principal Pre Sales Network Engineer to join a fast-growing digital transformation leader, helping government clients tackle their most complex digital challenges.


This is a high-profile, client-facing role where you'll combine technical leadership with presales strategy, driving secure, scalable solutions that solve real-world problems.


? Important: Active DV clearance is required. Candidates with SC clearance may be considered in exceptional cases if eligible for DV.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery and support the full presales lifecycle Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and proofs-of-concept Act as a trusted advisor for UK Government and public sector clients Differentiate solutions from competitors through value-driven stories Partner with product and engineering teams to influence roadmaps Mentor and support junior Sales Engineers across the region Prepare RFPs, technical documentation, and whitepapers Build long-term client relationships and identify upsell opportunities Represent the company at industry events and conferences

? What You'll Bring

15+ years' IT experience, with 10+ years in presales, network engineering, or technical support Proven track record supporting UK Government/Public Sector accounts Strong technical knowledge of:


+ Cisco (routing, switching, gateways, applications)
+ TCP/IP, SNMP, Netflow, VoIP
+ LAN/WAN topologies (MPLS, Frame Relay, ATM)
+ Security concepts & network infrastructure design
+ Linux, Windows, SDN/NFV, Cloud, and virtualisation
Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE Formal presales training (e.g., Sandler, Siebel, Afterburner) Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills Comfortable with 60-70% UK travel
Desirable:


Degree in Computer Science or related field (MBA a plus) Experience authoring whitepapers & influencing product strategy Familiarity with tools such as Arbor, Radware, Riverbed, A10, ExtraHop
