ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Pre-Construction Manager, you'll take a leading role in shaping the early stages of complex fit-out and refurbishment projects. Acting as a key link between design, commercial, and delivery teams, your responsibilities will include:
Leading the pre-construction function, overseeing feasibility studies, cost planning, risk assessments, value engineering, and programme development for high-value interior projects.
Working closely with clients, designers, and senior stakeholders to define project strategies, scope, and commercial frameworks.
Developing procurement and early engagement strategies that align with the company's design-and-build delivery model.
Embedding sustainability, life-cycle cost analysis, and innovation within pre-construction outputs.
Managing the seamless transition from design development into mobilisation, ensuring clarity of scope, cost, and programme.
Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement across the department.
REQUIREMENTS
Significant experience (ideally 8+ years) in pre-construction management within the commercial fit-out or interiors sector.
Proven track record leading pre-construction for multi-million-pound projects, from concept to contract award.
Strong technical understanding of fit-out methodology, M&E coordination, and buildability.
Excellent commercial awareness, with the ability to balance design ambition, cost control, and programme delivery.
Confident communicator with experience engaging clients, consultants, and senior leadership teams.
Passionate about sustainability and innovative project delivery approaches.
Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while mentoring junior staff.
