In this role, you will have an exciting opportunity to help our commodity and energy trading clients navigate the energy transition and build AFRY\'s UK business.

As a leader in our business, you will grow and shape our consulting business to traders in the UK, working with AFRY\'s existing consulting offerings as well as helping to develop new areas of focus driven by client need. You will be part of our global trading practice and will be expected to develop a talented team to support you over time as well as integrating with AFRY\'s existing organisation. You will be responsible for developing long-term client relationships, maximising current and future engagement profitability and contributing to our business development strategy.

You should have had previous leadership roles in consulting and/ or industry, working with trading clients in energy, metals and agriculture. Experience in sustainability, sustainable finance, ESG (Environment, Social and Governance), decarbonisation and supply chain traceability would be advantageous.

Qualifications

Our Senior Principals are confident and enthusiastic leaders. We expect you to have the following experience (but we don\'t expect anyone to tick every box):

  • Proven leadership experience gained working in the energy / commodity trading industry, either for another consultancy or from industry but with an interest to move into tier one management consulting.
  • Managing client relationships from origination through delivery including identifying opportunities, proposal response, budget planning, negotiating terms, closing sales, tracking and optimising engagement profitability, and managing engagement risk
  • This could include experience working in project delivery orientated roles or working as a Risk Manager, Trading Manager, Business Change Manager, Business Analyst, Project/ Programme Manager etc.
  • Experience gained across any energy/commodity - Oil, Gas, Power, LNG, Emissions, Metals, Ags, Softs.
  • Exposure to ECTRM software implementation programmes especially PMO, business analysis and technical architecture.
  • Leading and promoting teamwork and collaboration, internally and in client teams, seeking to nurture each individual\'s talents and skills, and mentor team members in their growth and development.
