About Medpal

Medpal is a growing AI healthcare company focused on improving how patients access and manage their medicines. Working closely with clinicians, pharmacies and partners across the UK, we're building safe, efficient and scalable medication services that genuinely improve patient outcomes.

We're now looking for a

Senior Procurement & Logistics Manager

to take end-to-end ownership of our medicines, packaging, consumables and logistics network - making sure we have the right products, in the right place, at the right time and cost, and that they move through our supply chain efficiently and safely.

The role

Reporting into the

Director of Pharmacy / Superintendent Pharmacist

(and working closely with Operations and Finance), you will lead Medpal's procurement and logistics function across key spend and flow areas:

Medicines, packaging and consumables Inbound and outbound logistics, including warehousing, 3PLs and final-mile delivery partners
You'll be hands-on where needed (forecasting, purchasing, supplier performance), while also shaping how our supply chain scales - from supplier strategy and contracts to logistics design, tooling and processes. Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, or another regulated environment will be a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities

Procurement leadership

Own end-to-end procurement for medicines, packaging and consumables - overseeing day-to-day purchasing, stock levels and replenishment to ensure consistently high availability. Develop and execute

category strategies

that balance cost, service, quality and risk across all key spend areas. Lead supplier relationships - sourcing and onboarding new suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, managing contracts, and running performance reviews against agreed SLAs and KPIs. Forecast demand and optimise inventory - using data to set ordering strategies that minimise stock-outs, overstock and waste, while supporting growth.

Logistics & supply chain

Own the

logistics strategy

across inbound and outbound flows, including courier/3PL partners, warehousing and distribution. Manage logistics partners and contracts - service reviews, performance dashboards, and continuous improvement on cost, service-levels and patient experience. Work with operations and product teams to optimise

pick/pack, dispatch and delivery

processes, including packaging formats, lead times and cut-offs. Monitor and manage supply chain risks (e.g. shortages, temperature control, regulatory changes) and implement mitigations.

Cross-functional collaboration & scaling

Work closely with

Finance, Product, Operations and Clinical

teams to align procurement and logistics activity with commercial targets and service promises. Support the implementation and optimisation of

digital tooling

(e.g. inventory systems, demand forecasting, BI dashboards) across the procurement and logistics lifecycle. Own and refine

SOPs, controls and governance

to ensure robust, auditable processes in a regulated environment. As Medpal grows, play a key role in shaping a

high-performing procurement & logistics team

, including mentoring junior colleagues and supporting recruitment and onboarding.

You don't need to have done everything on day one, but you should be comfortable

owning

and

leading

procurement and logistics in a fast-moving, growing organisation.

2 years experience

in procurement. Experience in

pharmacy, digital pharmacy, healthcare, or life sciences

supplier relationship management, negotiation and contract management

, ideally across multiple categories. Strong

demand forecasting and stock management

skills - confident using data and scenario planning to drive decisions. Comfortable working with

data and spreadsheets

(advanced Excel/Google Sheets); experience with BI tools is a strong plus. Ability to prioritise and stay calm under pressure, balancing multiple deadlines, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Clear and confident communicator, able to collaborate across

clinical, operations, product and finance

teams and influence senior stakeholders.

high-growth or tech-enabled

organisation. Experience setting up or scaling a
