What we're looking for


We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead new product development and grow our value-added services. Our APIs connect our customers to thousands of banks and enable them to create smoother user journeys, eliminate unnecessary payment fees and aggregate account information to create new personalised services. The team is currently working on bringing to market some of the most exciting payment initiatives such as Variable Recurring Payments (VRP) and data enrichment. This role will lead and drive those initiatives and help identify the new products and propositions that will take our business forward.


This is an incredible opportunity to be a leader in Open Banking and re-invent the way we think about and process payments and data. You will lead the effort to position Yapily as the frontrunner in Open Banking and Open Finance, by managing the strategy and execution of new initiatives and by delivering APIs that provide the best developer experience.

Requirements

Own vision, strategy and execution for the products in the Innovation & VAS portfolio, measured by OKRs/ KPIs and driven by continuous improvements, based on customer and market insights Engage with the Open Banking ecosystem - fintechs, banks, regulators and operators - via working groups and bilateral conversations in order to build market knowledge, assess new opportunities and develop new products Work closely with the engineering team to deliver on the strategy, drive effectiveness, prioritise product backlog and manage the entire product lifecycle from opportunity discovery to product launch Define and track the right product KPIs/ team OKRs to measure quality, success and impact Manage prioritisation of portfolio initiatives, including roadmap communication to internal stakeholders & customers Collaborate with internal stakeholders - Marketing, Sales, Customer Success - to understand customer needs and integrate feedback to deliver world class products Mange the end-to-end go-to-market journey of new APIs as a product, partnering with the Commercial Team through launch and user adoption Work closely with the VP Product Strategy & Innovation to identify, research and evaluate new strategic opportunities such as market expansion, AI and Open Finance

Not only will you be comfortable when asked to input and lead in other areas, but you'll be comfortable being a self-starter and instigating changes yourself.


For your new role

Product mindset and the ability to set and execute strategy with a clear understanding of the company's goals A deep understanding of API design and the importance of developer experience Strong understanding or experience working and developing products in highly regulated industries, such as payments, ID&V or lending Experience managing products whose target audience are technical users/ developers. Eg: APIs, SaaS, PaaS Experience engaging with customers/ end users to inform product strategy & validation and has built products that solve customer problems and deliver value Self-starter who works effectively in a fast paced environment and is comfortable managing ambiguity Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion Strong decision making and prioritisation skills, especially when multiple trade-offs are involved Team worker with a demonstrable track record of working with initiative both within and across functions
