Role overview:



We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Marketing Manager to strategically lead the marketing of Tes Resources and Teach Starter; two core B2C products central to driving teacher engagement and enhancing educational outcomes globally.



In this pivotal role, you will shape and execute innovative marketing strategies aimed at acquiring, engaging, and retaining educators across our key markets. You will also play an influential role in advancing the Teacher Engagement initiative, a critical strategic priority for Tes designed to deepen educator interactions across the business.



This role demands close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales, Digital Marketing, Communications, and Customer Success, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across all marketing channels.



Key Responsibilities:



1. Strategic Planning and Execution

Lead comprehensive go-to-market strategies for Tes Resources and Teach Starter, targeting educators in the UK, Australia, US, and internationally. Actively participate in shaping and executing the broader Teacher Engagement strategic initiative. Manage multi-channel marketing campaigns encompassing digital, content, social media, events, and direct marketing, ensuring clear alignment with business objectives.

2. Messaging and Positioning

Craft distinctive, clear, and impactful messaging that resonates deeply with educators, aligning closely with their evolving needs. Ensure consistency and clarity in messaging across all customer touchpoints, supporting strong brand presence and product differentiation.

3. Content Development and Thought Leadership

Collaborate with content and creative teams to produce engaging and authoritative materials such as guides, blogs, case studies, videos, webinars, and infographics. Establish Tes as a trusted thought leader in the educational community through impactful content and engagement activities.

4. Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis

Maintain comprehensive market insights, regularly tracking and analysing competitor strategies, market trends, and policy developments within education. Convert insights into actionable recommendations, influencing both marketing tactics and product roadmap priorities.

5. Commercial Partnership Support

Foster strategic partnerships and alliances to amplify product reach, effectiveness, and educator engagement.

6. Analytics, Performance, and Reporting

Leverage analytics tools including Looker, Google Analytics, Intercom and Asana to continuously monitor and optimise campaign performance and ROI. Provide clear, actionable reports and insights to senior stakeholders to inform strategic decisions and enhance marketing effectiveness.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience

A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in product marketing within EdTech, SaaS, or education-focused sectors. Proven track record in product marketing, campaign planning, and delivery in B2C and/or EdTech contexts. Experience leading go-to-market activities and working with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge

Deep understanding of the education market, educators' needs, and challenges faced by schools globally. Strong understanding of the drivers of teacher engagement. Knowledge of teacher resource platforms, lesson content usage, and educator needs throughout the academic year. Familiarity with quarterly and annual B2C subscription models and customer lifecycle marketing strategies. Familiarity with key marketing tools and platforms including Salesforce, Google Analytics, Looker, and email automation systems.

Skills

Exceptional copywriting, storytelling, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex product offerings into compelling messaging. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical abilities, with proficiency in data-driven marketing techniques and reporting. Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution skills. Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration. Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform decisions and optimise campaigns.

Qualifications

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Education or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Additional certifications in growth marketing or product marketing (desirable)
