We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Production Controller to join our publishing company on a maternity cover basis. As a team we work closely with our colleagues in editorial and design, so we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone who can bring both creativity and attention to detail to an exciting list.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and deliver titles for both trade and special sales
  • Work across various global markets
  • Managing all aspects of your list at all stages including product development, costing, scheduling, delivery and quality control
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales, suppliers and creative colleagues
  • Find solutions to day to day incoming issues
  • Meeting delivery and budget targets
  • Manage a range of Licensing titles on both frontlist and backlist to ensure projects are completed on time to budget
  • Ensure safety documentation is completed in time
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements to enhance production processes and efficiency.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of the publishing process, including print scheduling, spend and distribution.
  • Proficiency in using production software and tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and project management systems.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality publications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
