Duties
Production Planning
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
Monitor production performance and adjust plans to mitigate risks or delays.
Analyse capacity constraints and recommend solutions to optimise throughput.
Master Data Management
Set up and maintain accurate master data in SAP and IBP systems (e.g., BOMs, routings, lead times, production versions).
Ensure data integrity across planning tools and systems to support reliable planning and reporting.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to validate and update master data as business needs evolve.
Support audits and data governance initiatives by maintaining documentation and change logs.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements in planning and data management.
Support digitalisation and automation initiatives within the planning function.
Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance supply chain performance.
New Product Development (NPD) Management
Support the planning and launch of new products by coordinating production readiness activities.
Ensure accurate setup of master data for new materials, BOMs, routings, and production versions.
Collaborate with NPD, procurement, and operations to align timelines and resource availability.
Monitor trial runs and initial production batches to identify and resolve planning or material issues.
Maintain visibility of NPD timelines and ensure integration into overall production plans.
Contribute to post-launch reviews and continuous improvement of NPD processes.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in production planning within a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and master data structures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency in Excel and planning tools (e.g., MRP, SAP and IBP)
Desirable Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
