The Senior Production / Shop floor Manager will manage the production on the shop floor for Prototype and Serial projects according to the Manufacturing Schedule, providing an effective and efficient running of the shop floor organisation, technical support, and process documentation to ensure delivery requirements are met and maintained.
The key areas of responsibility and accountability in the role are:
Good understanding of composites materials and composites manufacturing process (kit cutting - lamination - curing - trimming / hand / CNC - assembly) to successfully manage and support the shop floor organization to achieve the Manufacturing Schedule
Manage the shop floor organisation to best practise and to the required "Quality Management Standard" (ISO 9001 / today and ISO 9100 / end of 2024/25)
Management of Facility and Stores in close coordination with procurement
Able to read and produce according to drawings
Administrate Purchase order (internal and external), works order, work description and delivery note documents through MRP system.
Support project controlling / performance reports on regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) for all running projects
Progress monitoring throughout project cycle
Additional Requirements.
Minimum of ten years composites experience.
Supervision and Management experience on the Shop floor
Assist with continual improvements on all projects.
MRP / ERP experience - Progress Plus experience preferable.
Assist with optimization of productivity wherever possible.
Person Profile
Good reputation in the industry.
Composites manufacturing background and proven knowledge of composites materials and tooling (10 years).
Confident and influential communicator at subordinate and peer level.
Good operational and organisational skills.
Flexible with extra working hours.
Sense of responsibility and integrity.
Ability to manage difficult situations and the stress associated with them.
Experience in composites in automotive and/or aerospace (desirable).
