Are you an experienced Project Controls professional looking to step into a key leadership role within a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment? Hargreaves is seeking a Project Controls Lead to join our team, supporting our Projects business unit and driving performance across planning, reporting, and programme delivery.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will oversee the planning and project controls team and provide vital support to Operations Managers. Your focus will be to ensure effective project control processes, cost-loaded programmes, resource forecasting, and client-facing reporting are consistently delivered to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the Planning/Project Controls lead across the Projects business unit Manage and develop a team of planning/project control professionals Ensure monthly cost-loaded and logic-linked programmes are submitted to clients Support PMs and Commercial Managers with reporting, data visualisation, and resource forecasting Deliver business unit-wide CPI/SPI dashboards and project performance insights Drive baseline programme management, earned value measurement, and WBS/CBS integration Assist with procurement timings, records management, and BIM data extraction (Dalux)
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in project planning and controls within the construction industry, ideally in complex or technical environments Strong knowledge of contract requirements and records management Excellent Primavera P6 and MS Office (Excel, Project, Word) skills Ability to communicate clearly across all levels of the business A proactive and analytical mindset with strong leadership qualities Relevant qualification - HNC or Degree in an engineering discipline preferred Flexibility to travel when required
