About the Role

We are a specialist civil engineering subcontractor delivering reinforced concrete structures across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the engineering function on a reinforced concrete frame project in Digbeth. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, high-quality and efficient delivery of works on site.

Key Responsibilities

Work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment. Lead and coordinate all reinforced concrete works, including foundations, slabs, walls and major structural elements. Provide robust technical oversight, ensuring full compliance with drawings, specifications and industry standards. Manage engineering teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery. Oversee and record all QA inspections, checks and temporary works coordination, ensuring information is submitted to the client on time. Manage day-to-day site activities, resolving technical and buildability issues while liaising closely with the main contractor and design teams. Track progress, control costs and monitor quality and health & safety performance. Prepare, maintain and manage accurate site records and documentation.

Requirements

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience delivering reinforced concrete and structural works. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, rebar detailing, formwork systems and concrete pouring operations. Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple work fronts and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
