We are now looking for a

Senior Project Engineer

to join our OT Projects team and play a pivotal role in delivering critical Electronic Security Systems (ESS) projects across our water and wastewater operations.


What you'll be doing as a Senior Project Engineer





As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for the

end-to-end delivery of OT security projects

, including:


Leading the planning, execution and handover of electronic security systems, CCTV, intruder detection, and associated network infrastructure. Providing

technical leadership

and engineering oversight, ensuring designs meet standards, regulations, and cyber security requirements. Managing budgets, tracking financial performance, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, safely, and to specification. Working collaboratively with

internal stakeholders

(Operations, IT, Asset Management) and managing

external suppliers

and contractors. Upholding Thames Water's high standards of

safety, quality and compliance

across all project activities.

Base location: STW site nearest to your location - Hybrid




Working hours: 36 hours, Monday to Friday




What you should bring to the role





The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role is:


Extensive experience in project engineering or project management in

Operational Technology or Electronic Security Systems

, preferably in a regulated industry. Degree in

Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or Control Systems

(or equivalent). Strong understanding of

electronic security systems

(CCTV, access control, intruder detection) and

OT cyber security principles

. Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to problem solve, make balanced decisions, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in the use of IT systems for report writing and collating information and data into reports. Technical understanding of the

Genetec security product

. Full UK driving licence is a requirement for this role.

Additional skills and experiences would be great to have or bring are:


Knowledge of the water/utilities sector or similar regulated industry. Project management certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, APM). Experience managing project budgets and supplier performance. Experience of customer (internal & external) relationship management.

Competitive salary up to 63,000 per annum, depending on experience

Annual Leave:

26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)
