Ready for a challenge? Apply for our Senior Project Manager position and help deliver the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier flood defence scheme, a transformational project in flood defence and climate adaption for Bridgwater and the wider Somerset area.
You will join a team that includes supply partners, client representatives, and other technical specialists as they move towards the construction phase. You will begin by leading delivery of the exciting workstream that delivers increased defences downstream of the barrier, flexing your involvement as needed as this high-profile complex project develops.
Naturally, you will build excellent collaborative relationships and have experience shaping thinking at the initial strategic planning phase all the way into implementation, construction, and delivery. Your role as an outstanding communicator, collaborator and influencer will be critical to the success of a high performing team.
You will already be a role model, mentor and talented expert within the field of construction project management who is a trusted source of advice. You will have demonstrated exceptional commercial acumen in contract management and developing effective and trusting supply partner relationships.
As part of the South-West Projects and Programme Delivery Team, you may be tasked to lead or support other flood defence and climate adaption projects across the Southwest within the Environment Agency.
Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. You will be required to have an incident role and make yourself available to respond to incidents or provide business continuity support during an incident. This may attract an additional payment and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
